A news post in the new year

Find me on Google+

I’m cleaning out my computer stuff and getting everything organized. That means going through my RSS feed reader and reading all the things I marked to read later, saving the articles I want to save for later, and maybe commenting on a few of them on my blog.

First up, scientific proof that I’m smart to sleep in late. First, they say I’m getting the sleep I actually need. Second, night owls are more creative. And third, I’m not stressing my body out so early in the morning. There we go. I’m going to sleep in a bit tomorrow I think.

And how many of these things did you know? BBC’s 100 Things We Didn’t Know Last Year. I didn’t know most of them. It’s a fascinating list.

Now, I use technology a lot, and did quite a bit of texting while I was on a trip recently, which frequently left me giggling. But when did naked pictures become flirting? That’s not flirting. That’s stupid.42D

Online vs. print for reading? I know I prefer reading on paper. In my classes, a lot of the articles we are asked to read are available on the computer, but just about everyone prints them all off and reads them that way. They’re more portible that way and you can still touch it. Don’t underestimate touch.

And I am feeling a bit tired after traveling 584 million miles last year.

I always knew I was creative, but it’s great knowing that I’m smart too. Here’s for staying up late and sleeping in. Love Mom

    Yay sleep! And useless trivia!

As for the nude texting, it can be flirting. It’s just not your style. 🙂 And teenagers definitely shouldn’t be doing it. It IS stupid if there is a chance it will get somewhere else than your SO’s phone.

    Points for print!

Look! Getting 8 hours of sleep a night as opposed to even 7, greatly diminishes your chance of getting sick!

Can a good night’s sleep prevent a cold?

So I’m getting the sleep I need, I’m more creative, I’m not stressing my body out, and I’m preventing colds. All with my eyes closed! Look how talented I am. 😀
