I remember my dad telling me on countless occasions that I needed to sleep when normal people sleep. The last few days have been Spring Break at work so I’ve been able to get back on “my” schedule. I was talking with someone about night owls and early birds at the fabric store, and she too thought that I wasn’t “normal” in when I slept. So I’ve started asking around. Normal should be what the majority of people do, yes?
So far, out of 25 people surveyed, only 4 claim to be morning people. I know this sampling is small, and I will continue to look into the issue. But as it stands right now, I think I’m the normal one.

I am an educator and PhD. I quilt, belly dance, run, read, and try to grow things. I am a Mormon. I am infertile. I am a daughter, sister, aunt, grand-daughter, friend, wife, and mom.

Your dad is always telling me that same thing, that I should sleep at night and be awake in the day time. I do the same thing in different time zones so moving to Japan probably wouldn’t help. 🙂
