I don’t work here, I’m just here for the free fabric.

I’ve been going to Hancock Fabric three or four Saturdays a month since April. Supposedly I’m working there, but I haven’t made any money yet. I’ve gotten a lot of fabric though.

What I learned about the birds outside my window

It takes them one day to get all the birdseed I put in the feeder out of the feeder and on the ground. They can then spend about two days eating it off the ground. Why do I put it in the feeder?

The wonders of the internet

Someone from the country of Tanzania looked at the pictures of my garden this morning. That is just very strange and slightly surreal to me. To think that someone way out there is looking at stuff I do here, it’s just amazing.

School Supplies

I’m a geek. Or a teacher. Or someone who loves school. Or maybe a combination of all three. About two weeks ago I was at Wal-Mart one night picking up a few things, and I noticed they were getting ready to put out the school supplies. Giddy! So I called my mom to share the [...]

Cupcakes

I know that cupcakes and cakes are the exact same thing. I know they have the same ingredients, you can put the frosting on them both, and that they taste the same. But I like cupcakes better. Which is why I make cupcakes for my birthday and not cake. And now you know.

What I learned about aardvarks and Kokomo

What I learned about pipecleaners

Pipecleaners are 65% galvanized wire and 35% polyester.

The Ruffler

I found a use for my ruffler. I made a ruffle. And it looks very ruffled. It’s actually the perfect way to edge a quilt I’m working on and I’m very happy with how it turned out. It looks great. I’m also considering myself very lucky that I guesstimated on how much fabric I would [...]

Heat – Gotta love it

People in Utah are complaining about the heat here recently. It’s been 100 or just above for almost a week. Maybe I’m just in a bad mood, but I want to tell them to just shut up about it. Poor them stuck with just a swamp cooler instead of central air. They must have forgotten [...]

Ants are evil

Ants are evil too. Just wanted to add that in there.
