But it doesn’t look like I’ve infected anyone else, so that’s good news.
Do you realize I’ve been sick all year! That’s just insane. Someone should stop this nonsense right away.
I’m not sleeping well as a result. I only got four hours of sleep last night and then I was up. And then I had to take care of a nose bleed for an hour or so before I could get ready for church.
My nose has been on the verge of bleeding for two days now, sometimes actually following through with the threat.
No, this doesn’t worry me. It’s the nature of my nose. I’ve had periods of frequent nose bleeds my whole life. Mostly they only come with colds now when I spend a great deal of time trying to decongest my nose and it gets a little carried away with stuff coming out. I know how to take care of nose bleeds and myself and they haven’t killed me yet. So you can calm down about all that.
But, as another drip started tonight and I got up to turn off my heater (hey! it’s in the low 50s tonight and will probably get to the 40s since it’s raining outside, I deserve a little heat don’t I?) to try and not dry my nose out any more, I thought maybe I should see what the price for a humidifier was.
And would you look what I found!

It’s an elephant! And the world wide web says the Target right near my place has one in stock! (Amanda, the world wide web also says that the white one is called a panda, but I thought pandas were white & black.)
We (myself and the mouse in my pocket) might be making a trip to Target in the morning. While I can deal with nose bleeds, I’d rather not if I don’t have to.

The cashier thought it was real cute and would go great in a baby’s room. I didn’t tell her it was going in my room, where it also goes great.
They had some other humidifiers that were cheaper, but they also required filters. With the purchase of the first filter you’d already spent as much as for this one, so additional filters would be even more money.
It’s real cute too, the mist comes out of the nose!
This breathing thing is kind of nice. I like breathing. It’s still not as easy as I’d like, but it’s better than yesterday. My little elephant has been blowing out mist nonstop since yesterday. And I slept last night. And I’m breathing today. And I haven’t had a nose bleed since yesterday morning. That little elephant guy is doing great!
