You’ve got to have a dream

This is not a bucket list. I’m just fine if some of these things never happen. But if you gave me the time and money, I’d go cross some of these things off.

  • Run in Central Park in New York City
  • Be at Times Square for New Year’s Eve
  • Help with the Rose Parade
  • Ride in a hot air balloon
  • Rent a convertible and drive the Pacific Highway with a scarf tied over my hair and big sunglasses
  • Visit all 50 states (I’m more than halfway there)
  • Take an Alaskan cruise
  • Take a Mediterranean cruise
  • Go to England to see the land of my ancestors
  • See the ruins in Italy
  • Run the Boston Marathon
  • Get a PhD (so close!)
  • Write a book
  • Be an extra in a movie (ideally just a dead body)
  • Work the chains at a football game
  • See the Northern Lights
  • Learn to fly an airplane
  • Learn Latin
  • Knit socks
  • Learn to crochet
  • Have a long-arm quilting machine

There have been other things on this list. But happily many of them have been crossed off already. Brett got me a super nice soft terry robe for Christmas. I’d just casually mentioned one morning last fall, long before Christmas, that I’d always wanted one, and he remembered! That’d been on my list for a long time. He’s good to me like that. ๐Ÿ˜‰ He wants to go see the fjords in Norway. I told him when we get there I’m buying a sweater.

Nice list. Some of them are on my want list also.

I definitely support Brett’s plan to see Slartibartfast’s award-winning fiddly bits. I also like many other things on your list, and have even done a couple of them. As you know, anything you do on the East Coast, I’ll be there to support (Boston) or run (New York)!

Leave it to Amanda to always catch the reference. :brett:
