I got home from the movie not quite an hour ago. I still don’t think my mind has processed all of it. The film was great. It was exciting to be there to see it at midnight with a full theater (and another one right down the hall, and two more starting at 12:15 further down the hall). It was a fun atmosphere to watch it in. I really liked the way my hat and shirt turned out as well. And I even found the perfect color of nail polish to match. It’s the little things. How often do I get a chance to paint my nails calypso?

The movie was amazing. Wow! They had to skip a lot of the little parts of the book and that makes it hard to follow if you haven’t read the books, but they did a great job of working it all together. The way they treated Sirius leaving in the Department of Mysteries was real powerful, as was Harry’s flashes as he’s struggling with Voldemort.

As I drove home I remembered when the book came out and how I felt reading the end of the book. I had to just sit and process and decompress after finishing the book. There were other things going on in my life right then that I hadn’t thought about till tonight as well. Strange time. I feel very similar now that I’ve watched the movie. I’m going to need some time to decompress. If I would’ve had more gas in my car I might’ve gone for a longer drive than simply from the theater home tonight.

I’m glad I had the pygmy puff Mom made that I could hold onto during a lot of the movie. I squeezed that thing good several times.
