Today is “Draw a Picture of a Bird” day. Why? I don’t know. But my website of wacky holidays tells me it is, so I will obey.
Here’s my bird this year. A penguin, in case you couldn’t tell.
Draw your own bird and if you can (scanner, digital photo, digital drawing, paper drawing and postage stamp), send it to me and we’ll have a gallery of bird drawings. Even if it’s just a flock of seagulls. (Or put it on your own site and then put a link in the comments.)

Last week we got a lovely card in the mail from my mom. I just thought she was sending us a fun card because she does that.
Later that night while we were drifting asleep it suddenly dawned on me why she’d sent us a card. She’d drawn us a bird. I told a half-asleep Brett what I’d realized and then we both slept better.
I’m glad you got a good nights sleep.
