Happy Valentine’s Day!

I must admit to actually liking this holiday, no matter my relationship status on this day. I think it is a lot of fun. But that probably has a lot to do with the environment I find myself in a lot for it. That would be elementary school.

In elementary school there is no pressure to have a special someone for February 14th. There’s no worry about what to get or do. There’s just the joy of simple love and handing out fun paper Valentine’s to everyone in the class, or lots of candy. But either way, it’s not a bad holiday.

My friend Mimi has set a goal for this, her 30th year, to tell 30 different people she loves them. I hope the people I love know I do. I could probably be better at expressing that as well. But I am grateful every day for the amazing family and friends I have.
