What I learned about diamonds

I learned that red diamonds are the rarest of all colors of diamonds. And also that nobody knows what causes pink diamonds, but they are most abundant from Australia. They found the mine by studying ant hills and finding small diamonds all throughout the hills. Then they had to search until they found the ancient volcano that had spit out all the diamonds but had since worn away.

Diamonds also slow light down to almost half of its speed, capturing it before breaking it up. I think that is amazing.
