Dating advice

I’m rereading a book I haven’t read in years, probably almost 10. A line in it just struck me as the funniest thing I’ve read in a while.

Guys need to feel strong and masculine now that they’ve been replaced by electricity.

I can’t explain exactly why I find that so funny, but it’s going to make me laugh for the next while every time I turn on the light.
