It’s Pi Day!

We’re going to try our hands at making a chicken pot pie for dinner tonight. We’ve rounded our Pi Party to the nearest Saturday again so that will happen this weekend. I’m even going to see if I can’t make a lemon meringue pie for it, one of my favorite pies.

Tomorrow is the Ides of March, so we’ll be having Little Caesar’s Pizza for dinner in memory of the dead emperor.

Also, I’ve decided I’m glad I’m defending my dissertation next Friday and not tomorrow. Defending on the Ides of March really doesn’t seem like a great thing considering the historical significance of the day. I’d rather not face my committee on a day known for being stabbed in the back.

In other non-calendar related news, I was a guest writer for A Practical Wedding again yesterday in a piece called “Reclaiming Wife: Meant to be?!” And yes, we are meant to be together. It was actually kind of fun for us to think of all those differences.

Do I actually have to think of the dead emperor while I’m eating my pizza? :brett:
