Cranberries are native to the Americas. The like acidic soil. Farmers flood their fields when it is time to harvest them in September, because cranberries float.

Dried cranberries are automatically cut in half and seeded before being soaked in some sugar to make them sweeter and then dried.

Cranberries are an excellent source of potassium and vitamins A and C.
