Happy Chanukah

Saturday we went to our favorite bakery (Beyond Bread) for dinner. It was the first night of Chanukah, and not only could we buy dreidel cookies (which were huge and probably would’ve tasted yummy), but there was a Menorah with two candles lit at the counter. There was something about it that was comforting to me.

In another week or so there will be a table-top Christmas tree there. I appreciate that there is room to celebrate all the holidays at this time of year.

I agree. We owe a lot to the Jews. After all, Christ was Jewish.
