I was looking at the list of things I did in 2009 and was very impressed with myself. Let’s see if 2010 was just as impressive. This list is only pretending to be chronological.

  1. Went to Disneyland, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, the Pacific Ocean, and the San Diego Temple for our honeymoon. ๐Ÿ˜€ :car:
  2. Taught 23 undergraduates for Spring semester. :apple:
  3. Taught 8 undergraduates/graduates for Summer term. :apple:
  4. Taught 4 undergraduates for Fall semester (I’m noticing a trend). :apple:
  5. Spent four weeks doing physical therapy for my hip (because I really am that old, no, really, the cashier didn’t card me when I was buying cold medicine this week even though you have to be a certain age to buy night-time cold medicine, I’m old). =]
  6. Hosted my mom, sister, and nephew. :cactus:
  7. Hosted my parents. :cactus:
  8. Hosted Amanda. :cactus:
  9. Went to the Giles reunion. :car:
  10. Went to the Grand Canyon. :car:
  11. Went to the Dennis reunion (which included my first trip to Idaho in memory). :car:
  12. Celebrated my 32nd birthday. ร‚ย  :lisa:
  13. Celebrated Brett’s 35th birthday. ร‚ย  :brett:
  14. Celebrated our first anniversary. ร‚ย  :pansy: ร‚ย  :turtle:
  15. Said good-bye to Grandpa. :daisy: ร‚ย  ๐Ÿ™
  16. Was named an Erasmus Scholar for outstanding graduate work in my college. :pencil:
  17. Ran a 10K in 10 degree weather. :run: ร‚ย  :snow:
  18. Went to Utah for Thanksgiving. :car:
  19. Went to Indiana for Christmas. :car: ร‚ย  :tractor:
  20. For all intents and purposes finished my coursework for my degree. :pencil:
  21. Finished more old sewing projects than I started new ones. :woot:
  22. Read 10 books in my alphabet non-fiction challenge. :book:
  23. Tried growing grass. :daisy:
  24. Went to the temple each month. ๐Ÿ™‚
  25. Went to the Gila Valley Temple open house and dedication and did a session there for my birthday. ๐Ÿ™‚
  26. Got sick. But I got better.
  27. “Coached” the young women in my ward in basketball. :run:
  28. Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 in the theater twice. :owl:
  29. Was a guest author on another blog twice. (first time) (second time)ร‚ย  :computer:
  30. Paid off my car (and bought Brett’s (I gave him the money for the last payment, so I claim it ๐Ÿ˜‰ )). :car:
  31. Donated 14 inches of my hair to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths. ๐Ÿ™‚
  32. Had a Pi Day party.
  33. Read 99.9% of the Old Testament with Brett (we accidentally skipped a page in Leviticus and we aren’t sure which one exactly. We did both read Leviticus all the way through individually though).ร‚ย  :book:

Yup. That’s a pretty good year too.

Also, I’m thinking this whole “New Year” thing really only matters to the calendar. My own personal New Year happens in July so I’m going to start doing a year run down then instead of in January since January seems rather arbitrary really. Which means you’ll see a good half of this list again in roughly six months since we are currently about half way through the 33rd year of the Lisa. :lisa:
