Today is National Teacher’s Day! :apple: And I’m celebrating by NOT going to class or teaching today. That’s what happens when the semester is ending. But I love teaching and I love many of the teachers I’ve had in the past. So let’s celebrate by looking at one of the first things we learn – The Alphabet.
I remember this song from when I was growing up. I don’t, however, remember Big Birds head being so, um, strange. They’ve definitely improved it by making it fuller and fluffier now. It almost, but not quite, looks scary. Anyway, I love this song. Brilliant to try to say the alphabet as a word.
This song I don’t remember growing up. It must have happened after I grew. But I love it. It’s so calm and peaceful. It’s the most relaxing alphabet I’ve ever heard. New favorite! And of course, it has Kermit. So that’s just good stuff.
Perhaps I shall also celebrate by finishing my L book in my quest to read one non-fiction book for each letter of the alphabet. My L book is about the letters in the Hebrew alphabet. Brett will sing you the song if you ask him.
How are you going to celebrate the teachers you’ve had and what they’ve taught you today?
The African song sounds like Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Could easily be. I love it!
Yes! You know what my next request is, right? We’ve got to find the Big Bird song in Hebrew. :penguin:
And my question is how would you say the Hebrew alphabet as a word?
Since Sesame Street has been translated into a lot of languages, I’m sure it’s in Hebrew somewhere.
