The characters that you have come to know and love through the previous four books must now come together in the ultimate battle against Arawn Death-Lord. It will take all of their strength, skill, and heart as they face the ultimate evil and try to rid Prydain of his shadow.
I was first introduced to this series as a junior in college as part of my children’s lit. class. We were assigned to read the first one (The Book of Three) and I loved it so much I went on to read the rest of them. I remember crying while reading it at the sacrifices the characters are asked to make. Those parts still get me, plus the rallying of the troops now as well. It is an amazing book on its own, but even more powerful when you’ve read the whole series and know the characters that much more.
