Road Trip 2004: South Dakota
After driving through Minnesota (a pretty place but not a whole lot to do), we came to South Dakota. We spent the night in Sioux Falls on the Eastern side, and then drove clear across the state to see Mount Rushmore. The Eastern side of South Dakota is green and humid, lots of corn fields. But as you drive across, the ground gets drier and things become a browner green, the corn fields are replaced with wheat fields. It was interesting to watch the changes. Mount Rushmore is pretty neat. I'm glad I've seen it. The Black Hills are gorgeous. And the story of it is incredible. Cross that off my list of things to do. • Beginning • | ||
