Courthouse Towers Area - Saturday, 10 April 2004

Saturday morning was windy. We started at the South end of the park that morning, which meant starting with the 2 mile round trip walk through Park Avenue down the wash to Courthouse Towers. It is a wash with huge cliffs rising on both sides. You can see the different layers of the sandstone, the bottom layer errodes more quickly. I loved looking at the layers that make up the rock and the colors of them. The whole place is huge. There is a picture of me in the wash so you can get an idea of the size of the place.
