I love having a place to call home, but I need to roam every now and then. I needed a road trip, I needed to get out of town. So Brian said he'd go with me to Arches for the weekend. I've driven past too many times to count, but this was the first time I'd seen it all. We packed his pick-up truck with food and film and went. We spent the first night at the park, but because we didn't have reservations, we had to spend the second night along the banks of the Colorado River at a BLM camp site. Our only plan was to come back Saturday night. I haven't been that relaxed in a long time.
It was the perfect weekend.
