In 2004, my brother gave me a small suitcase full of all his t-shirts from college. Since then he's gotten a quilt out of them each year for Christmas. The last one should be in 2007. Then I'll have to start thinking of something new to give him.

Christmas 2004 was all of the Rice and miscellaneous shirts. I used one of the smaller images as the label on the back of the quilt and wrote his name and the years he attended on it. This one has flannel on the front, back and binding, with batting in the middle. I used blue yarn to tie it. It is big enough to fit on a queen sized bed.

For Christmas 2005 I used the Jones College Shirts. It is flannel on the front and green fleece on the back with no batting. I machine quilted it. It is a large throw.

For Christmas 2006 I used his band shirts. The band at Rice is called the MOB - Marching Owl Band. So of course the band at the basketball games is called BOB. The marching band wears pin striped suits and fedoras as their uniform. This quilt is flannel on the top and blue fleece on the back with no batting. I machine quilted it. It is five feet square in size. I think it's my best t-shirt quilt yet.
