Beginnings - A Quilt
September 2005

I'm still working on hand quilting my scrappy spool quilt. But over Labor Day weekend I decided I really want a quilt that fits my queen sized bed now. So I pieced one together and then tied it rather than quilted it. It's so good to have a quilt that I can pull up to my chin and still have it over my toes.

The quilt I saw that inspired this was called a Butterfly Flip quilt. The fabric for the green border is called "Beginning of Life." I love the green fabric. I wonder what else I can use it for. So between the butterflies and the name of the border, I decided to call my quilt "Beginnings."

Here's a whole picture documentary of me putting the quilt together.
