My friends decided to wait till their baby was born before finding out if it was a boy or a girl. So before he was even born, he had the nickname "Squid." Which is why there are fishy creatures all over this blanket, with a friendship star in the middle.

Tanya's daughter was born in August 2006. I started this quilt in March. I finally got the binding put on it at the end of September. And it was the middle of October before I finally washed it and took it over. I really like how this one turned out. The fabric is just perfect.
