It has been a random goal of mine for a few years now to learn to belly dance. So when a pamphlet for UVSC's Community Education classes arrived in the mail and I saw they offered classes for it, I jumped at it. And I recruited the other members of my Relief Society presidency to do it with me. The classes started on September 20th, and in November we are going to have a little recital. It is amazing exercise, and a lot of fun. And our bishop thinks it is pretty neat too.

When I told a friend of mine I was doing this, he gave me one of the better compliments I've received. He said that was one of the things he liked about me, that if I wanted something, I went and did it.

For our first class, I made us all "matching" pants to wear. We are all "showing some skin" for our class. I'll put more pictures up later as we learn things and add to our outfits. We are learning a veil dance that the teacher is calling "Aphrodite's Mysteries."
