Dressed for a Party

It is strange, but now when I am invited to a party I don't think about going out and buying something new, instead I think about what pattern I should go get so I can make something. That's what I did for the latest party I went to. I wanted to wear the wrap my brother brought me from India and gave me for Christmas, but I needed something to wear with it. So I made a dress. I think it turned out very well. I'll probably make this pattern a few more times. |

You can see the wrap on my ankle in this picture. Four weeks and I'm still hobbling around. The shoes were perfect for the outfit, but I can't point my foot because of my ankle, so walking was a lot of fun. There was a couple of inches of snow on the ground, so my toes got cold. We almost got stuck on the way to the party, but Brian got out and pushed us up the hill till the car caught enough traction. |
