Twelve years ago I was on my way to a country that eats beans almost every day and I did not like beans. Last night I made a huge pot of black beans for dinner and I'm going to love eating them as leftovers till they're gone. That is the change that Brasil made in my life. Well, one of the changes.

Yesterday was 10/10/11 and today was 11/10/11. Both of them are binary days. I like binary.

Miss Giggles went live on the internet 8 years ago today. Back then I said I hoped it would be a way for my mom to keep track of what I was doing. I think it has done that and more. Eight years. Wow! That's almost a fourth of my life at this point.

Today's just a whole bunch of 1's - 1/11/11.

Last night, Halloween, I finally finished the Halloween wallhanging quilt top I pieced back in 2006. It is now a finished quilt. Wow that took me a long time. I did a simple spider web design and used different sized zig-zags for the stitching to add a bit of unconvention to it. I've titled this quilt "Fractured Frights" because the block pattern is called a fractured nine-patch. You start with a basic nine-patch block and then cut it into four pieces and then twist them. It's an interesting effect.

Today and tomorrow are the last two binary days of our lifetime. Seems fitting that Brett and I are spending them together with our own history of binary.

Can it be stay at home and relax time already? Almost. A day and a half of work this week and then I'm going to relax and recharge.
